Director
Stu is a Registered Professional Surveyor and Licenced Cadastral Surveyor. His extensive experience and knowledge has come from a long surveying career that began in 1983. Stu’s expertise covers a range of surveying disciplines and specialises in land development and resource management. The repeat business and referrals Stu receives from happy clients is testament to his friendly and professional approach. Stu is fanatical about the Liverpool Football Club and in his spare time you’ll find him playing, coaching or watching football. He’ll also find any excuse to do site visits on his motorbike.
Our Story
Valley Surveying Company Limited (VSC) was established in 1999 by Stu Watson.
VSC is a friendly Lower Hutt firm providing expert surveying and land development solutions for individuals, land development and building industry professionals, and organisations in the Greater Wellington Region.
We provide a comprehensive range of surveying services to protect our clients from surprises and legal complications and allow them to maximise opportunities for financial returns from their land. We work with a wide variety of clients from private individuals requiring a boundary marking for fencing purposes to bigger companies developing retirement villages or large subdivisions.

We have developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality, cost effective land surveying, land development engineering, land planning and resource management solutions.
Subdivision Consent Applications are a major part of our work. We work collaboratively with you, your architect, solicitor and other parties to ensure the necessary consents are applied for at the outset, ensuring time and cost savings.
VSC clients range from home owners, to builders, developers and investors, to local councils. Many of our clients return with repeat business.
Remember: Just because it can be designed does not mean it can be built!
